Childbirth Education Classes
There is much to learn about childbirth, labor, and delivery. The amount of information can be overwhelming to the expectant parents, because of this we split our class into two days. The first day focuses heavily on education while the second day focuses on application and conversation. The goal of our class is primarily to educate parents in order for them to have the most empowered birth that they can. As mothers and activate members of our community, we understand how valuable your time is and have worked hard to make our class as time efficient as possible. Additionally, our class fulfills the birth class requirement for the Tree of Life family birth center.
Upcoming Classes
Tuesdays | October 8th, 15th & 22nd Taught by Hanna Turner & Hannah Ahlgren
The class will be held at Louisville Family Chiropractor.
Childbirth Education Class Reviews
This class was extremely helpful for me. It was so informative on the ways of natural childbirth and how our bodies were made for birth. This class gave me hope for my next pregnancy and how I want to do things differently. They were so helpful in explaining the options that a woman can have with providers, medications, breastfeeding, exercise, doulas, and much more. I loved it.

This childbirth education class was incredibly helpful! I feel so much more prepared and equipped for natural birth. It also helped prepare me for what to do if a natural birth isn’t possible and how to do things as naturally as possible in those situations. The class also helped take the fear out of natural birth for me! Hanna and Jessica packed so much information into the class and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Cannot recommend this class enough!

This was a super helpful class for us to start thinking through things we didn't even know we needed to discuss before our birth, allowing us to be informed and ask questions so we could say no when we needed to. We were able to handle our first birth and recovery a lot better knowing what to expect, and were able to rely on the tools and knowledge we gained through this class rather than hospital policy.

This class was a blessing to my husband and I as we prepared for our second birth. Our top takeaways were:
- sparking discussion between the two of us that got us on the same page about each step of labor, delivery, and postpartum
- making sense of our first birth experience (why things happened the way they did and what we would do differently)
- understanding what our options were (what we could ask our provider for and what we could say no to)
- recognizing red flags in our medical team that made it clear to us that we should switch providers — we found a team we are so much more compatible with and made the switch 28 weeks in and are so much more excited and at peace about the birth as a result.

This class was an amazing resource! Especially for first time parents. Hannah and Jessica were so calm, reassuring, supportive and informative.
